The Silver/Silver Chloride (Ag/AgCl) elements in all Silvion cells have been developed in-house by Silvion using their unrivalled experience in this field gained over many years in the corrosion and battery industries.

Silvion cells are manufactured using a “unique” and advanced technique which results in a porous silver matrix being formed around the silver wire skeleton.This porous matrix allows the deposition of a larger quantity of silver chloride which is precisely controlled by electrolytic coating to provide high reliability, high stability, greater accuracy and increased life performance.

To our knowledge no other comparable silver/silver chloride reference cells are available to the CP industry. It is the Silver Chloride that determines the electrode life and NOT the weight of silver
