BP Angola Operations employ Silvion WE10 Electrodes to verify CP levels on Offshore Platform
Friday, 30 November 2012
BP Angola Operations recently employed Silvion Type WE10 to check CP protection levels on one of their Offshore Platforms. Feedback from the Subsea Division stated:
The electrodes performed very well. They were used to measure our CP levels within our I-tubes. This gave us a very valuable indication of how much protection a breach in our outer sheath would receive. It was also used to help verify and calibrate a CP study conducted by a specialist Contractor who used software applications with advanced computer models to quickly and accurately simulate the life and performance of the corrosion control system.
