BP ANGOLA OPERATIONS EMPLOY SILVION WE10 Ag/AgCl ELECTRODES TO VERIFY CP LEVELS ON OFFSHORE PLATFORM

Updated: Oct 29, 2018

BP Angola Operations recently employed Silvion Type WE10 Ag/AgCl reference electrodes to check Cathodic Protection levels on one of their Offshore Platforms. Feedback from the Subsea Division stated:

"The electrodes performed very well. They were used to measure our CP levels within our I-tubes. This gave us a very valuable indication of how much protection a breach in our outer sheath would receive. It was also used to help verify and calibrate a CP study conducted by a specialist Contractor who used software applications with advanced computer models to quickly and accurately simulate the life and performance of the corrosion control system."
